Tracy grew up in Memphis, TN then left for a degree in Animal Science at the University of Tennessee. She moved to Oklahoma and earned an MS degree in Plant and Soil Science and a PhD in Soil Science. Tracy and her family moved to Oregon in 2015. She currently works for the Oregon State University Extension Service serving Jefferson County and the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs as the Agricultural Literacy Coordinator. She is learning, slowly, how to grow tomatoes in Central Oregon.
