Organic Certification Cost-Share Funding now Available
On July 17, 2014 USDA announced the availability of $13 million in organic certification cost-share funding, intended to make organic certification more affordable for producers and handlers of organic products. Cost-share assistance is administered through the states, through the National Organic Certification Cost-Share Program, which provides funding for producers and handlers in all 50 states, and the Agricultural Management Assistance Program which provides support to Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
