Job: AmeriCorps RARE Food Systems Organizer in Lakeview

The University of Oregon’s RARE AmeriCorps Program has an opening for a Food Systems Organizer that we are seeking to fill immediately.  The Food Systems Organizer will be hosted at Lake Health District in Lakeview and will focus on implementing Oregon Food Bank’s established model for completing community food assessments.  The Food Systems Organizer will collaborate with key stakeholders to assess local capacity to build a stronger regional food system over the course of an 11-month term of service.  We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills for community outreach and group facilitation, enthusiasm and/or desire to gain skills in public speaking, research and data analysis, problem solving, community organizing and strong report writing.  Please reach out to us at if you are interested in immersing yourself in the food systems arena and feel this opportunity would be a good fit for you.
