Americorps: Marion-Polk Food Share

Marion-Polk Food Share has 3 AmeriCorps Positions that are currently open to applicants.  Please share with anyone who is looking for work because they are fresh out of college, or wanting to transition into a different career!  No age restrictions J

 

o   Help continue to strengthen and build Marion-Polk Food Share’s nutrition classes and marketing program!  As well as do research into improving access to SNAP benefits for low-income households in our two county area

o   Grow your skills in program planning, volunteer management, public health, and community partnership building

 

  • Community Foods Education Coordinator State Service Corps – – coordinate adult & family-focused gardening education and outreach programs; provide direct instruction and coordinate introductory gardening courses for MPFS clients; develop new family-centered gardening and cooking workshops at the MPFS Youth Farm; conduct outreach at local food pantries to connect clients with garden resources; go to http://www.marionpolkfoodshare.org/ContactUs/Careers.aspx for full descriptions and information on how to apply
